About the Practitioner

 

I have been a Massage Therapist since 1995  after graduating from the Massage Therapy Program at the School of Body Therapies in Langhorne, PA.   Under the instruction of Joan Stocker, the former Director/founder of the school, I began my massage work by filling in for Joan's massage practice when needed.  Over the years, I've taken advanced coursework in several modalities such as Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue Massage, Pre-Natal, Cranial-Sacral, Cranial lymphatic detoxification , spa therapies, and trigger point work (to name a few).

As a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Pennsylvania, my goal is to provides safe, gentle and beneficial bodywork sessions in a warm, comfortable setting.  Many have said that just lying on the table in my treatment room was the beginning of their journey toward restoration and balance (after only a few minutes!)

After completing a mentorship program with Dr. Claudia Welch, and as a 2015 graduate of the Kripalu School of Ayurveda, I am certified to work with clients to assist them in meeting their individual health and wellness goals.  I am happy to offer private consultations, classes and workshops in group settings.  

 

In April 2018, after studying Tai Chi for two years, I completed certification coursework in Qi Gong instruction with Jeff Primack, founder of Supreme Science Qigong Center, author, and food-based healing expert.  I often incorporate this ancient modality into bodywork sessions to assist clients in coming into their bodies via the breath.  I also offer beginners sessions (private and small groups) so that participants can include this amazing practice into their daily routine.  

I have always believed and respected that there is a way that each one of us can quiet down and access our innate wisdom to restore balance, heal and/or refresh ourselves.  As we begin to lessen our resistance and allow ourselves to let go of life's daily stresses and accumulated tensions, balance is restored.  Being able to soften ourselves to this resistance through awareness is essential to our wellness.
